The adventure begins in a Montreal apartment with a team of two developers, one of whom, Ghislain, is with us to this day.
Hotel Nelligan in the Old Port of Montreal, opens with Hotello as its hotel management software. We move from our inaugural apartment to an office at Château St-Ambroise in the heart of Montreal’s
St-Henri neighbourhood.
Business is booming, which makes it possible for us to double the number of our programmers from two to four. Our team, which now includes seven people, is instrumental in launching version 2 of Hotello as well as a new Mingus Software product, KX Hotel.
Mingus celebrates its 10th birthday by inviting clients to a big cocktail reception in a Montreal garden. Hotello becomes the first PMS supplier worldwide to be acknowledged by the Expedia EQC QuickConnect® Preferred Program. Yet another product, Equip, gets added to our product portfolio.
Mingus gets a revamped image based on an improved visual identity. We offer hoteliers a new service, H Emailing. This newest addition to the Mingus family leads to the creation of the company’s marketing department. Hotello becomes available in SaaS and Cloud versions.
The pace of Mingus’ growth accelerates yet again, and newcomer
H Quality joins our product range. We broaden our horizons and conquer new markets. Mingus organizes its first hospitality industry trade fair, which is a great success.
The year kicks off in a big way with the launch of version 8 of Hotello. We expand once again by adding a booking engine to our range of services. Hiring continues apace, and the Mingus team is now over 20 people strong. Hotello is named a Master on the 2017 FrontRunners quadrant for Hotel Management software, and Capterra recognizes Hotello as one of the best alternatives to Opera.
